Join This Chariot: How to Proclaim the Gospel of the Kingdom on TikTok, Facebook, and in the Modern World (Acts 8:29)

"Then the Spirit said to Philip, 'Go near and join this chariot.'" (Acts 8:29)

The Christian life was never meant to be lived behind the four walls of a church or in a monastery. Jesus did not call us to isolate ourselves in His presence, but to go where the people are.

Remember the Mount of Transfiguration. Peter wanted to stay there: "Lord, it is good for us to be here. Let us build three shelters!" But Jesus led them back down the mountain, where people were hurting and in need. The Holy Spirit does not fill us merely for powerful spiritual experiences. He empowers us for the mission: "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be My witnesses" (Acts 1:8).

This is exactly what happened with Philip. In the middle of a great revival in Samaria, the Spirit told him to go to a chariot traveling on the road to Gaza. An Ethiopian official was reading the prophet Isaiah but could not understand what he was reading. Philip approached him, explained the good news about Jesus, and the man was baptized.

Today, the Spirit is still speaking: Go and join these modern chariots.

Go where the people are. If they are on TikTok, go to TikTok. Learn how to use the platform, be authentic, and proclaim the good news of the Kingdom. If they are on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram—or in the streets, at work, or in the marketplace—go to them. Step out of your comfort zone.

Jesus came into the darkness. He drew near to the sick, the rejected, and the hopeless. He calls us to do the same. Our mission is not merely to give money or offer religious words that postpone everything until the end of time. It is to proclaim that the Kingdom of God is available here and now!

The Kingdom that humanity lost in the Garden of Eden has been restored through Jesus Christ. It is a Kingdom of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17). It is the peace that surpasses all understanding, the deep joy the world cannot give, and the restored relationship with our Creator.

Many people pursue money, success, or affection. While these things have their place, every human being has a God-shaped emptiness. As T.L. Osborn teaches in his book Join This Chariot, we do not witness miracles or fulfill our mission by remaining seated inside the church. We see God move when we go out to the lost in the power of the Holy Spirit, stepping into the "modern chariots" of our generation.

The Kingdom is manifested when we proclaim it in faith.

God never wastes His resources. When you use the little anointing you have to share the Gospel, He gives you more. The more you proclaim Christ, the more you grow.

The end will come when this Gospel of the Kingdom has been preached throughout the whole world (Matthew 24:14). We are living in an extraordinary time: technology, social media, and instant communication. God has allowed these tools to help accelerate His harvest. Let us use them to depopulate the kingdom of darkness and populate the Kingdom of God.

Dear friends, do not wait for another spiritual experience. You have already received what you need. Go. Join these modern "chariots." Bring the light of Christ into the darkness. Proclaim that the Kingdom is here and accessible to everyone.

May the Spirit of God move you into action today.

Go and join this chariot!

Amen.
